WhatsApp has become a part of everyone’s life. This app owned by Meta keeps on launching new features so that the user experience can be even better. Now WhatsApp has introduced a new feature, through which you can add music to your WhatsApp Status. This feature was earlier available only on Instagram, but now WhatsApp users can also enjoy it.
How its Work
Using this new feature is quite easy. You get the option to add music in the drawing editor. In this, Meta’s music catalog has been used, through which you can browse songs. This feature has been seen in WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.2.5 and is currently available to beta users.
Just like you select songs from the music library on Instagram, similarly on WhatsApp also you can add songs by searching for songs, trending tracks or artists.
Duration
If you want to add music with photo status, then the maximum duration of the music is going to be 15 seconds. Whereas, the duration of music in video status will depend on the length of the video.
When you select a song, you can also choose which part of that song to put on the status. This feature gives you the freedom to personalize your status even more.
Mention feature
WhatsApp has recently introduced the Mention feature in Status. You can use it in the following way:
- Open WhatsApp on your phone.
- Go to the “Status” tab at the top.
- Tap the camera icon and select a photo or video.
- Type “@” in the text box.
- Choose the name of the person you want to mention from your list of contacts.
You can also mention more than one person. Just keep typing “@” and selecting names. Tap the airplane icon to post a status.
