Jio launched True 5G service in 2022, which was based on SA (Stand Alone) 5G technology. Now Jio company has launched 5.5G Advanced with Release 18. This technology is much better than the earlier Release 15, 16 and 17.
Jio’s 5.5G is going to be even more advanced in the coming time, and it will evolve to Release 21, which is expected to be launched by 2028.

Jio gave a glimpse of 5.5G service at the launch event of OnePlus 13 series. OnePlus 13 is the first smartphone in India to support Jio 5.5G service. This phone has been developed in collaboration with Jio’s network technology.
During the launch event, a demo of Jio 5.5G was also shown on OnePlus 13. During this, a downlink speed of 1014.96 Mbps was achieved on non-component carrier (Non-3CC).
