For the Android users, WhatsApp has made it easy by introducing a new feature which is targeting key updates on the channel. The users are able to mark specific channel updates through starring which can be retrieved at a later time. This feature is found on the 2.24.26.18 version of the app that is available to the users through Google Play Beta Program.
The Star Channel Updates feature
Through this feature, users are able to ‘star’ updates which they deem to be important across the channels that they have subscribed to. With starring, users are able to find the updates they are looking for without the need to scroll for hours looking for event details and announcements.
In the past, this feature was only applicable for group and one-on-one chats. But WhatsApp has now incorporated the channel updates giving even more options to their customers.
How Is This Feature Used
This feature is really easy to use. This is how it operates:
Follow a Channel: In order to be able to utilize this feature, you’re required to follow the channel.
Marking Important Updates for Stars: All that is needed is to click on the update and mark as starred.
Access at Any Time: This way, starred updates are stored in a different section for easy retrieval.
But be aware that any starred updates from a channel will be deleted immediately if you unfollow it.

Furthermore, WhatsApp does not cease to introduce new useful functionalities for its users. One of these helps to communicate on diverse linguistic bases — that is automatic translation of messages.
When will it be available
